The Museum of the Sea is a welcoming exhibition space, located at a point that offers an impressive and privileged view of the sea.
It offers a collection of educational tools concerning local fishing dating from the Phoenician era to the present day, model ships showing the development of the types of vessels in the area, and even a little aquarium.
It shows the seafaring origins and antiquity of Peñíscola, as well as how the town was transformed around the port.
The archaeological pieces, mostly contributed by locals, come from both marine and land sites related to the ancient settlers at Peñíscola and its region and reflect this monumental city’s intense relationship with the sea.
